The Grapes!
Main Vineyard
currently has three producing vineyards. The "Main" vineyard is
planted half Cabernet Sauvignon and half Shiraz. (2000) The Cabernet Sauvignon is clone # 337 on 1103p
Rootstock. The Shiraz is an Australian clone #6 on 1103p Rootstock. This vineyard has a VSP trellis system.
The "Terrace" vineyard is also planted half Cabernet Sauvignon and half Syrah (2003). This Vineyard has a French
Clone #191 Cabernet Sauvignon on 1103p Rootstock, and a French Syrah clone 383 on 1103p Rootstock. This
vineyard has a 5 wire vertical trellis system.
Our newest vineyard,the "Quarts" vineyardis a Piont Gris Clone #4 planting. (2004) It too is on 1103 P Rootstock.
This vineyard has a modified VSP trellis with a one cordon plant configuration.
All vineyards are in excellent health. Decisions concerning the growth, yield, quality and canopy management are
made separately on each block within each vineyard. Farming practices are also preformed separately insuring
quality and timely decisions made specifically for each variety and block.
